A GSE team from Bremen, Germany is arriving in Arizona on May 8th and stays until the District Conference.  We have been asked to provide a host family for Thorge Takenberg (2nd from the right in picture), who is a Real Estate Manager.  He is 27 years old and single.  His vocational responsibilities include internet connections.  In his leisure time, Thorge wants to sightsee; meet interesting people; get to know some sports; be outdoors hiking, climbing, or hunting; and sample some typical local food.

Host families need to provide the following, if possible:

  1. Pick up at Smoki Museum at 4:30 PM on Tuesday, May 21, Deliver to Prescott Valley Rotary Club at 6:30 PM and stay with or pick up.  Thorge stays with host family that night. That day, our club will be visited for a team presentation, but they will be delivered.
  2. Deliver to Prescott Sunup Rotary Club Meeting on Wednesday, May 22, for team presentation, deliver to vocational visit. If business does not provide lunch, pick up and provide lunch.  Deliver to afternoon vocational visit and pick up 5:00pm for evening with host family.
  3. Deliver to vocational visit on Thursday, May 23, at 8:30 am. Take him to Chino Valley Rotary Meeting for team presentation.  Deliver to afternoon vocational visit and pick up at 5:00 p.m. for the evening.
  4. Breakfast with host families on Friday, May 24 and meet team at 9:00 a.m. to depart for next location.

NOTE:  If you cannot provide transportation, others will be able to fill in as needed.  It is most important to provide a home stay and a few meals that are not otherwise provided (at Rotary meetings, for example).  Expenses to be funded by the 5 Prescott-area clubs are (2) lunches if not provided by vocational visit and miscellaneous unexpected expenses, so your out of pocket would involve the evening meal and breakfast, unless otherwise provided at rotary meetings.
